When you are dealing with different cultures there are things that don't mean the same thing or don't have the same value across the board. For this advertising it hits a group and a type of product that means quite a bit to me as I shall explain. For black women hair is very important, when I was little growing up my mum use to tell me that my hair is my crown. Sometimes I can spend at least 300 or more dollars getting my hair done, I have a never ending amount of hair products for different things. I have the best hair straighteners on the market, and no amount of logic on how I should spend thing much money on my hair shall stop me from doing it because it is a cultural thing. That's the kind of things people have to thing about when advertising to Ethnic groups that are not their own. Knowing a market like this is everything, because it would be easy to miss the mark or importance.
